My name is Mike Bartz, and I am an IT professional with experience in academic, manufacturing and service provider industries. I have been working with Cisco routers since 1994, Cisco switches since 1995 and Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls since 1999. I have many years of experience with the voice side of telecom in PBX and VoIP applications, and have been working with servers since before you used a mouse with them.

I enjoy helping people solve problems and improve their livelihood using technology, but I am also a big fan of knowing when "the next big thing" isn't always the right choice. Often it is the process that needs help, not the technology.

My Certifications include Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Certified Novell Administrator in NetWare 5. I am currently working on completing the CCNP.
